Brian Safi ( writer and performer for infoMania and former writer for the website Funny or Die) discusses homosexuality in commercial advertisements. Safi explains how homosexuality in ads is often displayed as humorous or as an offense to straight men. Additionally, it seems that some ads attempt to appeal to gay viewers by adding something "gay" in the advertisement but conveniently subtle and disguised.
