The second Railroad Revival Tour was scheduled to stop at Ports o' Call in San Pedro, CA on 10/27 of this month. It has been cancelled for unknown reasons. The website doesn't offer much detail. Although the train will not stop here; one of the bands is still planning on visiting Pedro.
The original bill included, Willie Nelson, Jamey Johnson and John Reilly & Friends and yes, Band of Horses. The only acts I am familiar with is Willie Nelson and BOH. I would have enjoyed both.
Band of horses has new plans to play at the Warner Grand. I can't tell you how incredible it is to see SAN PEDRO,CA on a tour schedule. Unless a local punk band is playing, Pedro doesn't get to see music makers.
Last year, the Railroad Revival Tour brought us, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros; Mumford and Sons, and Old Crow Medicine Show.
I can only hope that more bands will feel the pull to come to Pedro.
