Obama on a unicorn

This is friggin' awesome. Obama on a unicorn! Obama on a unicorn on a t-shirt! We all know how cool unicorns are right? And despite the fact that Obama is sending more troops to war I'm still more so in the Obama is cool than Obama is uncool camp (I'm hoping the man will come to his senses). Well some brillant fellow decided to put two cool forces together and stick them on a t-shirt.

Miranda July pillowcase set

"Here you will dream of endless kissing" and "Here you will dream of people you admire exposing your fraudulence" pillowcase set by Miranda July.

I do admire Miranda July as an artist, writer, singer. To learn more about her go to www.mirandajuly.com

What bothers me about this idea is that the set is sold for $65.00! Not worth it if you ask me. If you really want to spend the money go to http://thirddrawerdown.com.

I suppose we'll have to come up with other ways to indulge or dreams and nightmares. Perhaps the good ol' fashioned way.

for your fruit and for your tea

More and more I've become interested in finding creative kitchen and home ware pieces. Here are some interesting finds I came across. Just felt the need to share!

Cath Kidston strawberry teapot. There's something very kitschy about this teapot and I think that's why I like it so much.

To purchase go to www.johnlewis.com

I love this item. Not your average fruit bowl that's for sure. Actually...can this even be considered a bowl?

To purchase go to www.handpickedcollection.com/black-blum-fruit-loop.html

This is interesting but it looks more like a toilet to me. I imagine that this seat would be feel uncomfortable after a while.

Never the less if you want to spend a lot of money on this tea cup stool go to mocha.uk.com/shop/index.cgi?command=moreinfo&search=HP01

tacky vintage tea cups = awesome

Tacky vintage tea cups for me please!

(from flickr user nhearon2003)

For some time now I have been collecting coffee/tea mugs but now I think I may begin collecting vintage tea cups. Today I shopped a bit on Ebay and purchased a couple good finds.

While I find some to be quite pretty I find the majority of floral vintage tea cups to be tacky in their perceived elegance and that's what makes them awesome!

I do enjoy the delicacy of dainty tea cups and I suppose I do enjoy dressing up my tea. Presentation can enhance the experience of drinking tea.

I adore tea and I think I will have a lot of fun sipping out of my vintage finds. I was able to get a good price for what I purchased. Ebay is grand!
