Amoeba Records Assigns Punk it's Own Section

Amoeba Music has now assigned Punk its own section. I would have loved to have been at the boardroom meeting when they decided this. I'd like to ask, what took them so long, while simultaneously asking them why they need to change something that ain't broke.

The definition of punk music has always been up for debate. Some believe genres overlap while others believe that only hardcore equates to true punk. Some believe punk is fluid just as other genres can be fluid and some do not.

I will surely trot over to to check out the the layout. Amoeba claims to display "Punk, Hardcore, Oi, Crust, Thrash, Metalcore, and more."

Is this cute or is this cute? Reference to the Suicidal Tendencies song, Institutionalized. Ah, high school.

See you in Aisle G.
