Tea Happy

At the moment I am tea happy aka trigger happy. I just purchased more tea impulsively. I recently wrote a post called, Strawberry Cupcakes from Adagio Teas! Others to Explore! In the post I explain that, I had never indulged in gourmet teas as I am am doubtful that they live up to their stated flavor. Adagio Tea was selling a Strawberry Cupcakes Tea for a while which I wanted to try, being that I am obsessed with cupcakes. Unfortunately it is no longer available, and nor is the  Blackberry Ice Cream Tea that I wanted to try.

During my search I found a I saw a Black Forest Bliss Tea, that had me curious, as well as a a Peach Muffin Tea. And of course both are retired. Phooey.

I decided that I will do a little experimenting and do some of my own blending. I don't have high hopes as I don't really know what I'm doing. The teas are mostly loose leaf teas that I will be blending and steeping.

I learned that the teas I stumbled upon were Signature Teas that were created by Adagio consumers. Adagio offers the opportunity create your own blended tea! First you submit your idea for a blend and they may sell ii it if it comes out well. You get to name your blend and add a picture of your choosing to the bag cover. You also add a background story. I revisited the website to peruse the teas. I wasn't expecting to make any purchases, but it happened anyway. I wanted to try some teas that I didn't have to blend myself.

The first signature blend I purchased is called Lori's Blackberry Cupcakes created by Vicci Arnold. The tea is blended with Adagio's Rooibos Vanilla, Blackberry and Hibiscus. At this time there are no reviews posted, so I don't know what others think about it.

Even as I'm writing things, I'm realizing just how tea happy I got. So, very unlike me as I am always a methodical thinker. But being that tea and cupcakes are two of my obsessions, it's only natural that I would jump at the chance to experience them blended together in some way.

My lust for cupcakes stems more so form the aesthetic of the cupcake, rather than the taste of them. Blackberry cupcakes are my favorite cupcakes to gaze at.

The second blended tea I purchased is called, Black Forest Cake by Lya Rodriguez.

From Ye Old Building

This blend consists of Adagio's Cherry tea, Coconut tea and Valentine's tea. The Valentines blend is described as a chocolate covered strawberry flavor.

And lastly I purchased, Birthday Cake Tea by Lady Sweet.

Funfetti Cake from The Kitchen

This blend consists of Adagio's Vanilla tea, Rooibos Vanilla Chai tea, and Honeybush Vanilla tea.

I'm eager to taste these creations. Hopefully I won't regret my purchases. They just sounded too good too pass up.
