the sexism of hate mail

An internet friend of mine has been getting a lot of undeserved hate mail lately. He posted an important comment in response today.

"You know what male privilege is? Having websites devoted to destroying your career, having dozens of pieces of hate mail come in every day... and not one rape threat. Not one. If I were a woman in the position I am now, it would be very different."
