graffiti revenge

I was driving along the 405 freeway and I came across a wall that was spray painted. Across it in white were the words,

"No amount of vintage dresses will ever give you dignity."

I thought that whomever wrote this was attempting to revenge themselves. Perhaps that was still the case. I learned today that this is based on a lyric by Taylor Swift.

"They wouldn't teach you that in prep school so it's up to me
But no amount of vintage dresses gives you dignity"

I'm not a Taylor Swift fan but I do enjoy this lyric line. I'm curious as to what was happening in the life of the person who wrote the graffiti tag. I guess we all try to find ways to tell our story.
