Thalia Surf shop in Laguna Beach, CA created a Martin Luther King Day sale offering 20% off on black colored products. Items consisted of things like wetsuits, shirts, board shorts, hats, and more.
"It's our slow time of the year, so we're always getting creative," owner Nick Cocores said.
The promotion is titled "Respect".
If you ask me the promotion has absolutely nothing to do with respect or Martin Luther King Jr. The surf shop is taking advantage of the fact that Martin Luther King Day is considered a holiday on most calendars and is using the opportunity to sell.
Martin Luther King and his work are in no way connected to selling product so why on earth connect the two?
Dear Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. I do not have anything against a vegan stance however your comment seems to be only for the purposes of promoting your view of something that has nothing to do with the content of what I posted.
You did include a MLK quote however it has nothing to do with Veganism however you used it.
It just seems a little sneaky even though you are promoting a concept that is positive.
