Doug Quint and his partner Bryan Petroff started the Big Gay Ice Cream Truck in 2009. Quint is professional bassoonist but decided to venture off during the Summer time when he wasn't touring with theZephyros Winds.
The BGICT sells ice cream with unusual toppings. Check out some samples below.
Chocolate Ice Cream and Cayenne Pepper Topping
Vanilla Ice Cream with Toasted Curry Coconut Topping
Vanilla Ice Cream with Olive Oil and Sea SaltTopping
Vanilla Ice Cream with Wasabi Pea DustTopping
Vanilla Ice Cream with Berries and Saba Topping
When you visit the website (which I imagine you'll be doing), you'll catch some staples of the truck's menu.
Intrigued? Visit the website to find out where the truck will be. If you don't feel like trailing after a truck, you can visit the Gay Ice Cream SHOP! Yes, that's right. What once was a sole truck has branched out to an ice cream shop.
I believe story telling is an art form and blogging is a medium in which to share stories and ideas. Within this blog I hope to cover a spectrum of topics. From the serious to the silly. Here you will read my views and inquiries about subjects such as feminism, other various socio-political issues, psychology, spirituality, sexuality, and general interests such as film, art and music. You will also be exposed to my obsession with cupcakes, tea, books, Hello Kitty, and quirky day to day journeys. I enjoy learning from others as I am constantly attempting to introspect, grow and evolve. During this process I will be jotting down musings on this blog. Pull up a comfy chair and a spot of tea and join me!
