What to do with all those pesky Paris Hilton cds lyring around? Well Banksy thought of a plan. He burned 500 copies of the Hilton cd and with altered artwork in the sleeve. He took the cds and placed them into different music stores in the UK.

In 2005 Banksy travelled to Bethleham to place his artwork on the Palestine barrier wall which Israel says is meant to keep out suicide bombers. The dove displayed here faces a military watchtower. His pieces go to the highest bidder and proceeds are given to charity.

Banksy is a well known pseudeo anonymous English political graffiti artist. His art is often satirical and combines his signature stencil technique. He does not sell photos of his street graffiti, nor does he hold exhibitions in galleries. Art auctioneers have been known to attempt to sell his street art and leave the issue of its removal to the highest bidder.

It is amazing that "Banksy" has been able to keep his identity a secret has he is often involved in controversy. For example, in 2004 he hung a painting that resembled the Mona Lisa in the Louvre in Paris. The painting displayed a yellow smiliey face rather than the Mona Lisa's actual face. Thought it was eventually removed it was temporarily unnoticed. In response Banksy is quoted to have stated that "To actually (have to) go through the process of having a painting selected must be quite boring. It's a lot more fun to go and put your own one up."

While many critics label Banksy's art as vandalism others are able to understand his point and appreciate his bold moves.
