The Young Turks Interview at SlutWalk 2011 in West Hollywood

For those of you who are unfamiliar. Cenk Uygur is the bombastic host of America's longest-running online political talk show, The Young Turks aka TYT. TYT began as a liberal talkshow on Sirius Satellite Radio in 2002. In 2006, Uygur decided to turn down a $250,000 radio only deal so that TYT could become the first daily streaming online talk show.



On June 6th TYT posted a video about the 2011 SlutWalk in Los Angeles. I posted about that event and it can be viewed here.

SlutWalk is a event in response to a comment made by a Toronto police officer. On January 24th, 2011, a Toronto Police officer gave a speech in which he stated: “women should avoid dressing like sluts in order not to be victimized”.

Here Misty Kingma reports from the West Hollywood SlutWalk, an event aimed at fighting against the idea that women are to blame when they're sexually assaulted.



At 1 minute and 17 seconds Hugo Schwyzer is interviewed. Schwyzer was one of the main coordinators of the 2011 L.A. SlutWalk event.
