I post about PETA so often that I'm at the point where I think I need to add it to my blog category for it. PETA is known for its aggressive tactics in order to get people's attention. By aggressive I mean, sexist, racist and manipulative.
The below commercial ad tells straight men that if they eat vegan, they will have the ability to have intense sex, that will physically hurt their girlfriend. The acronym is BWVAKTBOOM (Boyfriend when vegan and knocked the bottom out of me). The commercial describes it as "a painful condition that develops when boyfriends go vegan and can suddenly bring it like a tantric porn star."
If a man were to have sex with a woman in such a way that he actually harmed her in this way, he'd be on his way to jail. Some like it rough, but this video a woman is objectified as a beaten woman.
Certainly PETA believes they are being humorous and the message of the ad is an exaggeration but the exaggeration has motive behind it.
