Yes We Can...even still

The hopes of the little girl who goes to the public school in Philly are the same of the dreams of the boy who learns on the streets of L.A. We will remember that there is something happening in America. That we are not as divided as our politics suggest. That we are one people. That we are one nation and together we will begin the next great chapter in the America story with three words that will ring from coast to coast, from sea to shining sea. Yes we can! Yes We can! Yes we can!

The rousing campaign crowds have dissipated and he is our president. While some say our president isn't doing enough, soon enough, I have not lost faith. I saved this quote and am posting it here to remind us all that we need not let go of the enthusiasm that we had when Obama was running.

It was not just a bandwagon, it was not a trend. If we remember why we voted for him, and if we remind ourselves that his intentions are the same as when he campaigned, and if we remind ourselves that we can still act, we can still make our voices heard, then "Yes We Can" still rings true.
