PS22 Chorus sings with Tori Amos in 2007

PS22 Chorus is an elementary school chorus from Public School 22 in Graniteville, Staten Island, New York. The chorus consists of 60 to 70 fifth graders, and is directed by Gregg Breinberg. Students audition at the beginning of each school year.

PS22 is the largest elementary school in Staten Island and carries a wide cross section of ethnic groups and socio economic levels. The chorus meets twice a week during school hours to practice. The chorus has gained a lot of popularity and performs at school functions and various local events.

The chorus is known for singing adaptations of known pop songs.

After seeing some of the videos of the chorus one of my favorite music artists Tori Amos agreed to meet the chorus at the Sony Atrium in New York City in May of 2007. Tori also sang with the children.
