PETA wants you to wax your vagina.

PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has a long history of exploiting women in attempts to save animals. They love to strip pregnant women  in cages, fat shame, launch porn sites, dress supporters in KKK cloaks, and scold the President of the United States for swatting a mosquito. And really, that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Now, here they are insisting that women need to get rid of all fur. And I mean ALL of it. Not just the fur on our coats but the fur on our vaginas.

How are we helping the animals or PETA by waxing our hoo haas? Well, we're not. According to Ms. Magazine, PETA is collaborating with Strip Ministry of Waxing, who will be donating some of the proceeds from Brazilian and “XXX” waxes to PETA. So, THAT is why they want you to get rid of your pubic hair.

I don't oppose waxing and shaving. I do it myself. But, PETA isn't getting any of my hard earned money. Saving the animals is a worthy cause, but sexism never is.

  1. I TOTALLY agree with you! While PETA is a good cause, they sometime over-exaggerate their campaign and use discrimination to provoke people... Although provocation is a good way to get attention, I just can't agree with discrimination. :(

I used to like the «I'd rather go naked than wear fur» campaign since I thought it was sexy. But nowadays, I'm not so sure about the ethics of it all...

  2. Yes, getting women naked for profit is never okay. That's my humble opinion. As far as the 'go naked than wear fur' campaign; I imagine that very few individuals would actually rather go naked than wear a fur coat if they to choose. So, yes the point is to gain public attention. I don't see the women in those ads as promoting a good cause so much as allowing themselves to serve as puppets for the campaign.
