Difranco & Ferrick unite for a rousing performance of Which Side Are You On?

Here I am posting another performance of Which Side Are You On? Ani Difranco has been covering this song and has revamped the lyrics. I believe she debuted it in May of these year when she performed at Pete Seeger's 90th Birthday Concert.

The song is an old labor song, written by Florence Reece in the 1930s.

Here Difranco plays with Melissa Ferrick. I learned of Difranco and Ferrick around the same time in high school. It was 1997 and I was 17. Ferrick had yet to be signed to a label and was a frequent player at Largo in Los Angeles. It was a fun and intimate venue in which to see her perform.

I knew it was only a matter of time before Ferrick found a record label that would respect her talent and when it finally happened, I wondered if Difranco had or would ever hear of her. Now, look! The two of them have toured together in the past and here they are again.
