"Hir" - performed by Alyssa Harris and Aysha El Shamayleh at Brave New Voices 2009

This is an incredibly powerful performance in which these women play two parts of one person in struggle. This is a poem about a transgendered person experiencing the pain of having to pretend to be something he is not.
