I shed a tear for the loss of this annual treat from Trader Joe's. Pilgrim Joe's Pumpkin Ice Cream is incredible. It's unfortunate that it is only seasonal.
It surprises me that this delightful dessert is labeled a pumpkin flavor rather than pumpkin pie. Either way it's worth the $3.99 for a quart. According to the website, this ice cream is made with 20% pumpkin puree, 80% ice cream, and a blend of cinnamon, ginger and cloves. I despise ginger, but I don't taste even a hint of it when I'm relishing this dessert.
