New album from the amazing slam poet Buddy Wakefield!

I'm happy to announce that a new album has been released from slam poet Buddy Wakefield. He's back on Ani Difranco's label Righteous Babe Records.

Whether you are a fan of slam poetry or not I think it is difficult to deny that this man is oh so infectious!

The above piece is my favorite of all of Buddy's poems. I remember watching this piece when Buddy opened for Ani Difranco a few years ago. He did this piece a bit slower and with an emotional piano accompaniment. I curled up behind my knees and cried. It was a great catharsis. Buddy takes you to so many different places. A Buddy Wakefield show will take you through joy, saddness, curiosity, humor, and ultimately introspection.
