Lenore - The Cute Little Dead Girl

I've been a fan of the Lenore comics for years but being that I just saw the below video for the first time, I figured, I'd write a post about her.

Lenore, The Cute Little Dead Girl is the story a 10 year-old dead girl who died of pneumonia. She lives in a mansion near a graveyard. She was created by comic artist Roman Dirge. Lenore was inspired by the Edgar Allen Poe poem, "Lenore." The comic was published by Slave Labor Graphics. The comic is no longer, but they can be purchased.

Lenore is delightfully strange and she has delightfully odd friends. Lenore is a dead girl who lives in a town called "Nevermore" which is of course taken from Edgar Allen Poe's piece, The Raven. The comic is one of dark humor. Lenore has an innocence about her however her quirkiness is often dangerous.

At his panel at the 2011 Comic Con Roman Dirge announced that author Neil Gaiman has agreed to serve as an executive producer on a CGI film adaptation of Lenore. Exciting!

Below is a film made by Sony for the Lenore comic series.
