Ani Difranco to receive Woodie Guthrie award



Folk singer and activist Ani Difranco is being honored with the prestigious Woody Guthrie Award for being a voice of positive social change, at the 13th Annual Guthrie Awards Dinner on Thursday, October 8th at the Plaza in New York City. The ceremonies start at 6:30p and include a silent auction, dinner and Award presentations, Ani will also perform a couple of songs. All proceeds go to the Woody and Marjorie Guthrie Research Fund to help support Huntington’s Disease Society of America.
